Group Travel: Double The Fun
TRAVEL, we’ve discovered, is wonderful. It’s an all-five-senses experience – a chance to see, feel, smell, hear and taste the world.
And GROUP TRAVEL is doubly-wonderful. That’s been our experience, ever since Midlife Madness Tours first began. When you go adventuring with one of our groups, you find yourself doing stuff, going places, meeting people, grabbing opportunities, and trying things that you mightn’t have the courage to try if you were travelling on your own. Plus you’ve got a great bunch of Kiwi friends to share these fantastic experiences with – and zero risk of feeling left out or lonely!
In short, there’s no end to the fun that happens and memories that are made when likeminded, young-at-heart Kiwis venture out together. We (John & Robyn) hesitate to call ourselves ‘experts’ – but we relish the chance to explore new countries, cultures and customs. We’re at-home in airports, hotels, cruise ships and the like. And we know how to make good tours GREAT!

Midlife Madness: who’s it for?
Our tours are designed for FUN-LOVING, YOUNG-AT-HEART KIWIS IN MIDLIFE – give or take a decade or two! Our groups always include a good mix of singles and couples, plus a good mix of ages!
Age isn’t as important as ATTITUDE. Let’s face it, your date-of-birth isn’t as relevant as your health, mobility, outlook-on-life and sense-of-humour. While it’s not strenuous, your chosen tour will likely involve some lengthy flights, busy days, plus plenty of leisurely walking, and climbing in-and-out-of coaches or cruise-ships or safari vehicles.
So long as you’re healthy, mobile, able to keep up and keen to join in the fun, you’ll fit in just fine.

Meet JOHN & ROBYN: founders, promoters and travel hosts at Midlife Madness Tours.
Travel has featured high on our agenda for several decades now. Somehow, in between kids/grandkids and publishing the family magazine Grapevine (which we established back in 1981), we managed to launch Midlife Madness Tours. And the rest (as they say) is history...
We’ve been privileged to visit many stunning destinations. And we’ve hosted Mad Midlife Tours and Cruises to the Mediterranean, Alaska, Canada, China, France, India, Israel, Egypt & Petra, Italy, Greece & Croatia, Japan, the Rhine & Danube, Scandinavia & the Baltic, South America, Spain & Portugal, Vietnam, Cambodia & the Mekong along with several Wildlife Safaris (our favourite tour) in Kenya & Tanzania.
Our upcoming adventures can’t come quick enough – marvellous itineraries, great company, lots of laughs, and memories that will last forever.
