DANUBE & RHINE BLOG 10
Are you wondering if the sun is shining yet in this part of Europe? Well, wonder no more. We did see a few glimpses of blue sky earlier this week, but we’re back to rain (mostly light and drizzly) … temperatures ranging from 7° to 9° … and umbrellas, coats, and long underwear.
These photos tell it all …
Yours bloggedly – JOHN
Hi Mum (Hilary Hay),
So, I finally spotted you in a photo (Bamburg?). You’re bundled in a purple wind breaker and have your hand up, waving (which made it a bit difficult to identify you). It sounds like a brilliant trip, despite the weather. I’m glad to hear that it’s warming up a bit (99 degrees F here tomorrow).
Hey Mum (Lorraine)
Think I finally caught a glimpse of you smiling out between some other people in the Bamberg photo!!!…
It’s looking pretty cold…I assume some extra clothing just HAD to be purchased!?!
Missing your emails, Love Tracy xxx
Hi Ben and Colin
Sorry about the weather!! I bet you are having a great time absorbing all the culture. All is well here.
From Robyn & Steve
To mama Lorraine, Trace sure has good eyes cos I haven’t spotted you yet! Shame about the weather but boy that history!! Can’t wait to see and hear about it. Cheers big ears!! Luv Loll & Co XXXX
Hello Anne and Jillian
Have been catching up with your whereabouts and what’s happening. Remarkable stuff. You have probably heard already that Fred died Tuesday morning (18th) and the funeral is Saturday. Apparently your home group spent WED night remembering the significant part he played in the development of NBC and generally bringing to mind stories in relation to Fred.
The paper has lots to say about the budget – you can read it all in June.
The weather is v. wet and is expected to stick around for a few days yet – thanks for sharing your rain with us!
Cheers
Dawn and Rod
Mum (Hilary Hay):
Like Karen I just spotted you waving madly in the camera. Very mych there. The weather looks terribly grotty, which is a shame, but Bamberg looked quite lovely. Enjoy your upcoming wine tasting–(I am currenlty reading Billioniare’s Vinegar)–be sure to get the real deal!
Love Linda

Hi Grandma and Granddad (Judy and Edgar).
Hope your trip is going well. Here’s some news from the last couple of days.
School has been going well for me and bex, I have a maths assessment on monday so wish me luck! I also had a music assessment recently and got a merit for that, very happy! Bex has her choir concert on Monday and is also going to a camp. I went to a concert that Dad was playing at today. It was lots of fun, loud though.
